Como 1907 Seeks US Soccer Talent to Join Team in TST Summer Tournament; Winner to Receive Full Scholarship to Train, Study, and Live in Lake Como
The winner of this inaugural scholarship will be selected by Como 1907 head of development Osian Roberts and part owner Cesc Fàbregas
- The player will not only receive professional training at the Como 1907 Academy, live with a local family but also be able continue his studies
- The chosen athlete will also join the Como 1907 team competing at TST (The Soccer Tournament) June 5-10. Cary, NC.

Lake Como, Italy – May 4th, 2024 – Como 1907 Football Club has launched its first ever sporting scholarship to help a budding US soccer player. Selected by the Head of Development, Osian Roberts and part owner of the club, Cesc Fàbregas, the aim is to help young talent get a unique all round experience in Como, Italy.
This scholarship offers one exceptional male footballer the opportunity to train with the Como 1907 Academy while continuing to study and live with a local family for three to twelve months over the 24/25 season. Talented individuals, aged 18 to 19, are invited to apply by submitting a highlights reel along with their coaches recommendation. All terms and conditions are outlined on the site.
Not only that but the player will also play for Como 1907 at TST (The Soccer Tournament). Surrounded by soccer fans in a festival atmosphere, 48 men’s teams and 8 women’s teams will compete in separate “World Cup style” tournaments consisting of group play and single elimination knockout rounds in their quest for victory.
Commenting on the scholarship opportunity Cesc Fàbregas said: “We are so happy to be able to provide an aspiring player with the chance to pursue their dreams. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for a talented US player to to train, live and study in Italy.
