Como 1907 to Fund Two New Emergency Vehicles for the Fire Brigade and Civil Protection Thanks to the Como vs Sassuolo Match

Como 1907 is proud to announce that the full gate receipt from the Frecciarossa Coppa Italia match against Sassuolo will be donated to support the Como Fire Brigade and the Civil Protection Service.

The match was played during an extremely challenging moment for the city, and the response from supporters was immediate and generous. The total sum collected, 108,431 euros, includes the share voluntarily waived by US Sassuolo. After consulting with local institutions, the Club decided to allocate the funds to two essential emergency vehicles that will strengthen first response efforts across the territory.

The first vehicle will be donated to the Fire Brigade. It is a specialised unit created for rescue operations during floods and heavy water events. It has been designed to operate independently or alongside first response teams, offering vital support during severe weather conditions.

The second project will equip the Civil Protection Service with a dedicated trailer for managing hydrogeological and flood related risks. It includes a high capacity water pump, a generator, a lighting tower, suction and discharge hoses, an electric submersible pump, a fuel tank and additional equipment required for rapid intervention.

Both vehicles will help protect the community and ensure a faster and more effective response in future emergencies.

“We would like to thank everyone in Como who went above and beyond to help during the emergency. Special thanks to those who bought tickets for the match against Sassuolo but did not come to the stadium and to US Sassoulo for its generosity. We are very proud of the Como community, which has once again shown its unity and solidarity,” said Como 1907 coach Cesc Fabregas.

Como 1907 thanks US Sassuolo Calcio for joining this effort, and all supporters who chose to contribute even from afar. Their gesture underlines the strength and generosity of this community.

The Club will share further updates on the completion and delivery of the vehicles in the coming weeks.
