🇬🇧| Como 1907 women’s team won its third game of the season today, on the fifth matchday of the Eccellenza championship.
The game took place away in Cantù against Castello Città di Cantù and ended 2-7 for the Lariane. Marianna Bruno scored her first goals of the season bringing home a hat trick. Florin Wagner, German midfielder, recorded her first goal in the BiancoBlu colours. Claudia Zorzetto, Matilde Fadini and Beatrice Pecce also contributed to the score line with a goal each.

🇬🇧 | “I performed at Villa del Balbianello last Sunday, and each villa, each location, is truly unique. It’s an amazing experience to showcase something artistic I’ve created – a piano inspired by Lake Como called ‘Waves’ – in a setting like this.”
Alessandro Martire, a pianist and composer from Como, performed at a sold-out concert at Villa del Balbianello in Tremezzina, in the province of Como, back in July. The performance was part of the Lake Endless Joy festival, an event that blends music and nature, ideated by Martire himself, which is now in its fifth year.

🇬🇧 | Earlier this year, UFC Fighter Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson visited Como. He explored the city and immersed himself in the matchday atmosphere at the Sinigaglia Stadium. During his visit, he also conducted a coaching clinic alongside Como 1907’s technical staff, Marco Cassetti and Massimiliano Gatto.

Gabriel Strefezza, Como 1907 forward, spoke about his goal against Napoli at Stadio Maradona. His goal came in the 43rd minute from an assist by Máximo Perrone. Strefezza reflected on the match and the team’s determination to keep improving.
“We had a great first half against a strong team. This Napoli side is one of the strongest in Serie A, and we held our ground well in the first half, playing our style of football.
“We’re still at the beginning of the season. There’s plenty of room for improvement, and we want to get better. We will build on the good things we did in the first half, with enthusiasm, and follow the coach’s direction.”

Loretta, a long-time Lariana, spoke about her favourite Como 1907 player, Alessandro Gabrielloni. She then went on shared the story of how attending the stadium to support her beloved team led her to meet her best friend, Cristiana.
“I’ve supported Como 1907 ever since I was a child. When my dad took me to the Sinigaglia to watch Como vs Perugia at the age of 15, the stadium quickly became my second home.”
“Back then at the end of the games, we used to stay to greet the players. It was there that I met Cristiana, and we started talking. We began going together not only to the Sinigaglia but also to away matches. She became my best friend, and together we have shared, and still share, the highs and lows of following Como 1907 over the past years.”

“Dopo le partite, spesso ci fermavamo a salutare i giocatori, ed è stato proprio lì che ho conosciuto Cristiana. Da allora, abbiamo iniziato ad andare insieme non solo al Sinigaglia, ma anche alle trasferte. È diventata la mia migliore amica e, da quel giorno, abbiamo condiviso tutte le emozioni, gli alti e i bassi, di tifare per il Como 1907.”

On today’s press conference, Cesc Fàbregas, Como 1907’s head coach, discussed the team’s preparation for the away match in Naples this Friday. He commented on the tactical approach of Antonio Conte, his former coach in his Chelsea days, and reflected on the positive atmosphere around the squad.
“Conte has introduced a precise and detailed method, and I consider him one of the best coaches I have ever worked with. I learnt a lot from him, especially when it comes to mentality.
“Since the Bologna match, there’s a lot of positive talk surrounding the team, but I always remind the players that good words do not equate to winning. When you win, people talk even more, but we must stay grounded. Having the right mentality is everything, and we must continue working like this, match after match.”
