Un Dolce Raro

“We are a group of parents who share experiences and emotions related to the theme of disability, but above all, we are friends”.

Como 1907, for the Como-Parma game, supported the initiative ‘Un Dolce Raro’ promoted by the association Diversamente Genitori.

“The initiative is on its fourth edition, and there are 50 pastry shops and bakeries involved in this project that allows us to support ‘Il Sogno di Zeno’. This project, in collaboration with the Child Neuropsychiatry of the ASST Lariana of the Sant’Anna hospital, works with Augmentative Communication, which is essential for children with complex communication problems and foreign children approaching the Italian language. An important project, therefore, for everyone, a heartfelt thanks goes to all the pastry chefs and bakers who support us.”

These are the words of Francesca Cappello, president of Diversamente Genitori. An association that was born in 2019 out of the need to support families facing a diagnosis of disability in their children. But the association is so much more. It supports and organizes workshops and meetings for all age groups, from childhood to adolescence, with the support of professional educators. The Association’s goal is to promote the inclusion of individuals with disabilities in schools and society, simultaneously supporting families in this journey.

“We are a group of parents who share experiences and emotions related to the theme of disability, but above all, we are friends. Since 2019, we have been an association, open to all. We met and started walking together in 2017 – convinced that common and shared effort was a precious benefit for each and every one of us – and we established ourselves as an association in January 2019. Our headquarter is in Villa Guardia, in the province of Como, but our actions have no boundaries.”
